Job description

The Audio Visual (AV) Technician position is responsible for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting sound, lighting, and video equipment. The person will support live events, conferences, and daily multimedia operations, ensuring seamless communication and high-quality presentations for internal teams and audiences.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly technical Audio Visual Technician to join our team. You will be the energy behind unforgettable experiences, managing everything from crisp audio and stunning video displays to complex video conferencing and hybrid meetings.

  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Audio Visual Technology, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in A/V production or corporate event settings.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of signal flow, audiovisual architectures, and control software (e.g., MSTEAMS).
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think on your feet and resolve technical malfunctions calmly under deadline pressure.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • Communication: Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to explain technical requirements in plain language.

  • Client Interaction: Work closely with stakeholders to understand their AV needs and provide technical guidance for presentations.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all cables, electrical loads, and equipment placements meet OSHA safety standards.
