The Multimedia Designer/Creator position purpose is to develop, produce, and manage high-quality visual and multimedia content that advances the Molinaroli College of Engineering and Computing's strategic communications, marketing, and engagement priorities and strengthens the College's brand across digital, print, and social media platforms. Working under the general supervision of the Director of Marketing and Communications, the position exercises independent judgment in planning and executing photography and video production, managing digital assets and production resources, coordinating multimedia requests and shoots, and collaborating with internal and external partners. The primary goal of the position is to deliver compelling, brand-aligned visual storytelling and ensure the effective management and coordination of multimedia resources that enhance the College's visibility, reputation, and engagement with its key audiences.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, Journalism, Visual Arts, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of professional experience in content creation, social media management, or digital marketing.
  • Demonstrated experience producing both photography and video content for organizational or brand use using DSLR systems with a strong digital portfolio showcasing marketing-oriented work.
  • Experience managing social media accounts across multiple platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, X).

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, and After Effects) and other content creation tools, including Canva and CapCut.
  • Experience operating DSLR cameras, lighting equipment, and audio recording tools.
  • Skilled in creating engaging visual and written content for diverse audiences and platforms while adhering to brand guidelines.

Produce, shoot, and edit high-quality photography and video content for web, print, and social media platforms. Serve as a self-sufficient content creator responsible for all aspects of production, including setup, lighting, audio capture, filming, and post-production. Create both long-form storytelling content and short-form, high-engagement social media content aligned with university goals and brand standards.

Primary manager for the Molinaroli College digital asset management (DAM) system, including photography, video, and design files, ensuring proper cataloging and accessibility. Maintain, clean and ensure readiness of all photographic, video, and lighting equipment. Primary contact for all video and photo requests, both internal and external, ensuring prompt and accurate fulfillment of the requests.

Collaborate with marketing, communications, advancement, student services and academic departments to plan and execute content initiatives aligned with institutional & college level priorities. Provide support for student content creators and campus contributors and support event coverage and special projects. Serve as coordinator of all video and photography shoots including shoots with outside vendors and media.
