What You'll Contribute to OHM Advisors

OHM Advisors' Environmental & Water Resource Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Specialist with a strong background in environmental due diligence, Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and air quality to join our growing team. As a Technical Specialist, you will spearhead the development and management of our EHS consulting practice. Your deep understanding of regulations and assessment methods will help deliver quality consulting services and achieving sustainable results for our clients.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: In conjunction with our Principals and Client Representatives, identify new business prospects, develop proposals, and engage in client presentations. Grow the client base for EHS compliance services. An existing client network or sales experience is not required.
  • Project Management & Execution: Oversee consulting projects from start to finish, ensuring all deliverables are achieved within budget and time constraints. Initially, you will self-perform the work, but over time, you will direct project teams and allocate resources efficiently where you are guiding teams as the business grows.
  • Thought Leadership: Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in the environmental consulting sector. Contribute to industry forums, write articles, and give presentations to position the organization as a thought leader.

Requirements

Education, Experience, & Licensure:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree relevant to the field of consulting. For instance, environmental consulting requires a degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline.
  • 15+ years of environmental compliance, permitting, consulting, or industry experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of EHS regulations and Multimedia permitting and compliance.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license encouraged but not required.

Technical Skills:

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
