Job description

Echodyne is seeking a creative, detail-oriented Multimedia Designer to join our growing marketing team!ROLE OVERVIEW

This is a designer-first role for an early-career or developing multidisciplinary creative with strong graphic design fundamentals, demonstrated video-editing and motion-design skills, and an interest in expanding their capabilities in 3D visualization.

Working closely with the Creative Director, the Multimedia Designer will absorb a meaningful share of Echodyne's day-to-day creative production while helping the team gradually build stronger in-house video, motion, and 3D capabilities. The work spans marketing collateral, event graphics and promotional materials, print and digital advertising, website graphics, presentations, social content, video, animation, and customer-facing sales support.

The ideal candidate brings a tuned visual eye, sound judgment in typography and layout, and the production skills to carry projects from brief through final delivery. They are comfortable moving between design formats, and translating advanced radar technology into clear, engaging visual communication.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design and produce marketing collateral, event graphics, promotional items, print and digital advertising, website graphics, presentations, social content, and sales-support materials
  • Apply strong typography, composition, visual hierarchy, and brand judgment across a wide variety of formats and audiences
  • Adapt campaign concepts and established creative direction into accurate, polished deliverables across multiple sizes, channels, and production specifications
  • Edit video content for product storytelling, digital campaigns, social media, websites, presentations, customer communications, and events
  • Create motion graphics, animated typography, product callouts, transitions, explainers, and other visual elements using After Effects or comparable tools.
  • Reformat and optimize video and motion content for different platforms, aspect ratios, display environments, and distribution requirements.
  • Provide onsite creative support for video production, photography, interviews, product demos, and events as needed.
  • Use existing 3D models to create product imagery, simple animations, application scenes, and supporting elements for marketing content
  • Develop practical capability in model cleanup, materials mapping, lighting, rendering, and animation under the direction of the Creative Director and with support from specialized resources when appropriate
  • Organize and maintain image, video, design, and 3D asset libraries to ensure accessibility and consistency across teams
  • Manage multiple assignments, communicate project status, and deliver accurate work on schedule
  • Collaborate with marketing managers, product, sales, and leadership teams to understand requests and support business objectives through effective visual communication
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 4+ years of professional experience in graphic design, multimedia design, visual communications, or a related creative field
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong graphic design fundamentals across multiple formats, including thoughtful use of typography, layout, composition, color, and visual hierarchy
  • Demonstrated experience editing video and creating motion graphics for digital, social, presentation, event, or marketing applications
  • Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and After Effects
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and disciplined file-management practices
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a willingness to take ownership of projects
  • Comfortable working onsite and supporting a distributed team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Practical experience with Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya, 3ds Max, or another professional 3D platform
  • Experience creating content for technical products or translating complex concepts into accessible visual stories
  • Familiarity with videography, photography, studio lighting, audio recording, and onsite content-production workflows.
  • Familiarity with photography, video production, 3D modeling and animation, and content creation workflows
  • Interest in aerospace, defense, robotics, autonomy, advanced manufacturing, or other highly technical industries.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
  • Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and After Effects
  • Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Working familiarity with video codecs, compression, aspect ratios, file formats, and delivery specifications
  • Digital asset management, file organization, naming conventions, and version-control best practices
  • Experience working in a Windows-based PC environment
