Minimum Hiring Annual Salary:

$59,286.00

Maximum Hiring Annual Salary:

$64,029.00

To attain the maximum annual salary, employee must meet all minimum qualifications plus:

  • 5 (five) years of additional applicable work experience and/or degrees higher than minimum qualification degree. Degrees higher than the minimum qualification degree can be used in combination with additional work experience.
  • Acombination of related education, on-the-job work experience, certifications and/or licenses that results in a candidate successfully meeting the minimum qualifications of the position, may be considered.

The stated salary amounts are not guaranteed in the event employment ends with Aims during any fiscal year.

Job Description:

The College embraces and seeks to hire individuals who want to be a part of this environmentand have the skill sets necessary to be successful in this position.The Multimedia Content Manager (Multimedia Designer/Photographer/Videographer/Producer) develops and produces visual content that strengthens the College's brand, supports enrollment goals, and advances institutional storytelling across digital and print channels. The position combines strategic content planning with hands-on execution across photography, video, motion graphics, and design to deliver cohesive content for websites, internal and external communications platforms, email campaigns, presentations, and marketing initiatives.
This role serves as a creative partner to campus stakeholders by translating goals into effective visual narratives, planning and executing photo/video shoots, and ensuring deliverables meet brand, accessibility, quality, and deadline expectations. The position also manages content organization and archiving practices so that photo and video assets remain searchable, reusable, and compliant with usage standards.

Produce Video, Motion, and Audio Content: 25%

  • Capture and edit video for web, social media, email, events, and internal communications.
  • Manage lighting, audio capture, interviewing, and on-location production needs.
  • Create short-form motion graphics/animations and video packages for campaigns.
  • Produce accessible outputs (captioned video, platform-optimized versions).

Professional Photography: 25%

  • Photograph campus events, portraits, classroom/program activity, marketing campaigns, and leadership needs.
  • Plan and lead photo sessions, including location scouting, lighting setups, and directing subjects.
  • Execute portrait sessions for employees/students as needed, maintaining consistent quality and style.
  • Ensure proper releases/permissions and professional standards for subjects and settings.

Multimedia Content Strategy: 20%

  • Translate institutional priorities and campaign goals into multimedia concepts and content plans.
  • Create creative briefs, storyboards, scripts, shot lists, and production schedules.
  • Align deliverables to brand standards, messaging needs, and intended audiences.
  • Coordinate timelines and approvals with internal partners to ensure effective rollout.

Edit, Retouch, and Deliver Final Assets: 15%

  • Perform photo editing and retouching (color correction, cropping, tonal consistency, export specs).
  • Design supporting graphic assets when needed (social packages, thumbnails, posters, flyers, digital signage).
  • Prepare deliverables for multiple channels with correct sizing, formatting, and compression.
  • Maintain quality control to ensure accuracy, clarity, and brand alignment.

Manage Asset Organization, Archiving, and Equipment: 5%

  • Maintain an organized photo/video archive with naming conventions, metadata, and retrieval practices.
  • Track usage rights, releases, and licensing requirements when applicable.
  • Maintain cameras, lenses, lighting/audio gear, and accessories; coordinate service when needed.
  • Improve workflows and templates to increase efficiency across recurring content needs.

Write and Edit Copy: 5%

  • Draft short-form written content to accompany visual storytelling across collegewide channels, including:
    • Newsletter articles or feature blurbs
    • Email announcements
    • Webpage text or story summaries supporting photo/video packages
  • Adapt writing style to match Aims' brand voice, editorial guidelines, and audience needs.
  • Write compelling narrative context for multimedia assets, ensuring cohesive storytelling with marketing and communication goals.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree In Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, Photography, Video Production, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of professional experience producing multimedia content (photo/video/design) for marketing, communications, or brand storytelling. Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end production workflows from concept through final delivery. Or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
  • Perform in a professional and collaborative manner while supporting multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
  • Provide exceptional customer service with internal partners and community-facing subjects.
  • Communicate creative concepts clearly and translate stakeholder goals into strong visual deliverables.
  • Manage multiple high-priority projects with accuracy, urgency, and sound judgment. Demonstrate strong storytelling instincts and visual decision-making (composition, pacing, brand cohesion).
  • Exercise discretion and professionalism when photographing students, employees, and public events.
  • Maintain organized workflows for file management, metadata, releases, and archiving.
  • Adapt quickly to changing needs (event coverage, breaking communication needs, leadership requests).
  • This position requires the use of a company vehicle and/or personal vehicle for business travel. The selected candidate must successfully pass an MVR and be insurable under Aims insurance.
