Job Summary/Description:

PowerNation Studios in Franklin, TN, has an opening for an Associate Builder/Mechanic to work on the Show project builds. The opening is for a regular, full-time position with company benefits. This position requires working with the Show Producer and Builder/Co-Hosts to advance production by providing mechanical work on project vehicles, assisting in acquiring parts necessary for each production shoot, and performing some building and vehicle maintenance. The position may require appearing on camera in the Shows or other productions.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

• Assist in completing project vehicles on schedule as agreed upon with the Show Producer and Builder/Co-Hosts
• Provide mechanical work required in project building and testing using the highest level of workmanship on all projects. This may vary based on the project, and you may be required to work without assistance
• Assist Builder/Co-Hosts in acquiring necessary parts for all projects, and confirm the parts are correct prior to production of the Show segment
• Must have a complete and total understanding and knowledge of the safe operations of any equipment in the assigned studio, and complete required ongoing safety training
• Assist the Show Producer to maintain a safe and healthy work environment, keep the studio clean, and tools in their proper place
• Complete TDOT driver training and drive Production transport vehicles, including truck & trailer combinations
• Assist in the maintenance of Production vehicles and the warehouse facility
• Work with the Show Producer to create on-camera content

Qualifications/Requirements:

• College or technical school with appropriate technical certifications or equivalent on-the-job experience
• Experience with automotive mechanical work, with some knowledge of automotive restoration preferred
• Good on-camera voice and appearance, and ability to speak clearly on camera
• Ability to collaborate with Builder/Co-Hosts, Producer/Directors, Technical Producers, Videographers, and Sales staff in creating high-quality content and project vehicles
• Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record
