Job description

Summary: We are seeking a friendly, motivated Bilingual Sales Associate who enjoys working with people and creating a positive shopping experience. This role focuses primarily on jewelry sales, while also assisting guests with electronics, tools, and other merchandise. The ideal candidate is welcoming, dependable, and excited to help guests find the perfect item while contributing to store sales goals. If you enjoy building relationships and working in a fast-paced retail environment, this position is for you.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
1. Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming store experience.
2. Assist guests in selecting jewelry and merchandise that fits their needs and budget.
3. Educate guests about jewelry basics such as gold quality, diamonds, and gemstones (training is provided)
4. Promote Karat Rewards, Trade-In and Jewelry Trade-Up programs to encourage repeat visits.
5. Support high-value and special occasion sales with confidence and professionalism.
6. Help maintain clean, organized, and attractive jewelry displays and sales cases.
7. Ensure all merchandise is properly tagged and priced.
8. Assist with restocking, rotating, and merchandising product on the sales floor.
9. Work with team members to meet daily and weekly sales goals.
10. Assist the Web Sales Specialist with packaging, shipping, and preparing items for online listings.
11. Follow company policies related to safety, security, and guest service.
12. Participate in ongoing training to improve product knowledge and sales skills.
13. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
$20.00-$24.00 per hour
Requirements
Qualifications :
Formal Education and Experience Requirement:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Bilingual required - preferably Spanish
• Retail or customer experience preferred
Knowledge:
• Friendly and approachable personality
• Strong communication skills in both languages
• Comfortable discussing product features and pricing
• Basic computer and POS system knowledge
• Team-oriented and dependable
• Willingness to learn about jewelry and merchandise
Physical Requirements:
• Stand or sit (stationary position) 20% of day
• Walk (move, traverse) 80% of day
• Use hands/fingers to handle or feel (operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect, position) 100% of day
• Talk/hear (communicate, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express oneself, exchange information) 100% of day
Lifting Requirements:
• Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects
