Key Job Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the design and development of components and systems for electric wheel loaders, supporting projects from concept through prototype and into production, ensuring compliance with performance and safety criteria.
  • Conduct detailed CAD modeling and drafting, preparing and revising technical documentation, assemblies, and parts lists to support manufacturing and field service teams.
  • Support engineering evaluations involving tests, analysis, and calculations to validate design concepts and improve product reliability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams, working under the supervision of senior engineers and designers to meet project timelines and technical specifications.
  • Engage proactively in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining engineering workflows, improving quality, and reducing costs without compromising on technical excellence.
  • Communicate engineering design considerations clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders including Sales, Service, Supply Chain, Operations, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure alignment and successful product delivery.
  • Participate in departmental training programs and leverage external learning opportunities to keep abreast of emerging technologies, CAD software advancements, and industry trends in machine design.
  • Assist in managing engineering change orders and document control, ensuring accurate and timely updates to design data and compliance with global engineering standards.

  • A certification in Technology, Engineering Design, or a closely related field is required to ensure solid foundational knowledge of engineering principles and CAD practices.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least three years of experience in electrical or machine design, preferably within the mining or heavy machinery sectors, demonstrating applied skills in component and system design.
  • Proficiency with CAD software platforms such as Solidedge or NX is highly desirable to contribute effectively from day one.
  • Experience in any type of PLM or PDM programs.
  • Experience in SAP or SAP S/4HANA.
  • Experience or familiarity with Lean Engineering methodologies to support process optimization and waste reduction across engineering activities.
  • Knowledge of structured Change Management processes to ensure smooth implementation of design updates and continuous product improvement.
  • Participation in collaborative team projects or focused engineering assignments which highlight effective communication and teamwork capabilities.
