About the Role:

The Bilingual Mandarin Project Coordinator plays a pivotal role in managing and facilitating projects that require seamless communication between English and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders. This position ensures that project objectives are met on time and within scope by coordinating resources, schedules, and deliverables across diverse teams. The coordinator acts as a cultural and linguistic bridge, translating complex information and fostering clear understanding among all parties involved. By maintaining detailed documentation and tracking project progress, the role supports effective decision-making and risk management. Ultimately, this position contributes to the successful execution of projects that span international and multicultural environments, enhancing collaboration and operational efficiency.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate project activities, timelines, and resources to ensure successful delivery of project goals.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between English-speaking and Mandarin-speaking teams, facilitating clear and accurate communication.
  • Translate and interpret project documents, communications, and meetings to support bilingual collaboration.
  • Monitor project progress, prepare status reports, and escalate issues or risks to project leadership as needed.
  • Organize and schedule meetings, workshops, and presentations involving cross-cultural stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, and correspondence.
  • Support the development and implementation of project plans, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Assist in resolving conflicts and addressing challenges that arise during project execution.


Required Qualifications:

  • Fluency in both Mandarin and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Proven experience in project coordination or management, preferably in a bilingual or multicultural environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Communications, or a related field.
  • Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) or equivalent.
  • Experience working in international business or cross-cultural teams.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific terminology relevant to the projects being managed.
  • Knowledge of additional languages or regional dialects related to Mandarin-speaking markets.
  • Experience with remote collaboration tools and virtual meeting platforms.

The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including a one-hour lunch break each day. Please note that this schedule is flexible and may be subject to change based on the employee and employerโ€™s needs.
