Position: Travel ICU Charge Nurse

Location: Lewiston, Maine

Department: Intensive Care Unit

Available Shifts: Days and Nights

Compensation: Gross pay ranging from $1,491 to $2,067 per week, which translates to an hourly rate of $41.44 to $57.43.

Assignment Duration: 12 weeks

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee ICU operations and nursing personnel during assigned shifts.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments effectively.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support the development of nursing staff.
  • Assist with performance management and HR-related tasks.
  • Monitor supplies, equipment, and overall unit readiness.
  • Coordinate patient care, including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Address patient care concerns and escalate issues through the proper channels.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a current and valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS certification (AHA) required upon hire and must be maintained.
  • Current ACLS certification (AHA) required upon hire and must be maintained.
  • A minimum of one year of experience as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital or emergency department is required.
  • Previous supervisory experience of one to two years in an acute care hospital or ICU setting is essential.
