QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5-10 years’ relevant experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering (from an ABET-accredited university)
- EIT certification required; PE license preferred
- Strong technical and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with a positive, team-oriented mindset and ability to work independently
- Knowledge of single-family, multi-family, or commercial construction methods preferred
- Advanced understanding of gravity and lateral design
- Technical expertise in performing structural engineering calculations, both manually and with design software
- Experience producing construction documents using AutoCAD or Revit preferred
- Wood-frame design experience preferred, but not required
- Work with Project Managers and Staff Engineers designing and documenting houses, offices, apartments, or mixed-use buildings
- Design gravity components including beams, columns, and footings
- Design lateral systems including shear walls and moment frames
- Review shop drawings
- Conduct field work, including site visits and construction observation
- Cover letter indicating your interest in the position and where you saw our posting
