Software Developer

Geoprobe Systems®

Salina, KS • On-site

Full-time

Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement, PTO

Posted 11 days ago

Job description

Geoprobe® designs and manufactures drilling machines and tooling used by companies worldwide. Behind the scenes, our software team builds the systems that run the business. We're seeking a Software Developer to create custom solutions within our Epicor ERP system and to design and build software used both inside the company and by our customers.

This is a role for someone who designs systems, not just implements them. When a department brings us a business problem, you'll help decide the right approach (ERP customization, a new feature in one of our in-house applications, or an integration between systems) and then build it. You'll work on-site in Salina as part of a small, collaborative IT team, with your work reaching every corner of the company.

Interested in applying? Save time, apply directly at geoprobe.com/join-our-team

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop custom solutions within our Epicor ERP system, and build programs that interface Epicor with in-house applications
  • Work with our development team to build and maintain Centerpoint, our custom in-house software platform (C#, Vue.js, SQL Server)
  • Collaborate with departments across the company to gather and analyze requirements, then determine the right technical approach — an Epicor customization, a Centerpoint feature, or a new integration
  • Design database schemas and write efficient queries to support new features and reporting
  • Consult with users to gather reporting needs, and create or modify reports, queries, and dashboards
  • Write clean, reliable, maintainable, and testable code, and design for scalability from the start
  • Anticipate potential issues and design around them or resolve them proactively
  • Work within processes and practices developed by the IT team
  • Provide occasional technical support to internal users
  • Other duties as assigned

You might be a good fit if you…

  • Are organized and can prioritize requests efficiently
  • Possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Can explain technical ideas to people of various skill levels
  • Have a strong attention to detail and desire to produce high-quality work
  • Enjoy collaboration and a team-oriented environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment that uses ERP software
  • Strong skills in C#/.NET, SQL, and JavaScript; experience with Vue.js a plus
  • Ability to work with REST APIs to integrate third-party applications
  • Able to understand, modify, and refactor existing code in an unfamiliar codebase
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Proven skills in prioritization, time management, and decision-making
  • Self-directed — able to take ownership of projects from requirements to delivery
  • Team oriented — collaborates well with the IT team and users across the company
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with ERP systems, especially Epicor (BPMs, BAQs, dashboards)
  • Experience with Git and version-control workflows
  • Experience setting up and working within the Azure ecosystem
  • Experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., Copilot, Claude) in daily development
  • iOS/Android app development experience

Benefits

  • 401(k)
  • Health, Vision, and Dental Insurance
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • Paid Holidays
  • Profit Sharing

Geoprobe Systems® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
