Job summary

Leads the buildout of the enterprise integration framework while establishing and standardizing its data, analytics, and API platforms. Combines architectural ownership with hands‑on engineering and requires broad expertise across the data lifecycle, including enterprise integrations, API management, ETL/ELT development, data warehousing, data modeling, analytics, reporting, and modern cloud‑based data platforms, with AI/ML experience strongly preferred. Key member of IT's data and integration team, defines technical standards, integration patterns, development practices, and reusable capabilities that support the organization's long‑term enterprise data strategy.

Essential duties and responsibilities
  • Models the mission, vision, values, and culture of the organization.
  • Leads the design, development, implementation, integration, enhancement, and ongoing support of software applications, data integrations, and technical solutions that meet organizational and business objectives.
  • Works directly with software applications throughout their lifecycle to ensure solutions are reliable, secure, scalable, user-friendly, accessible, and perform efficiently.
  • Collaborates with business stakeholders, customers, and technical teams to understand business requirements, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop quality technology solutions.
  • Gains a thorough understanding of user needs and business processes to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and modify applications, integrations, and supporting services.
  • Develops and maintains integrations between applications, databases, and third‑party systems using APIs and other integration technologies.
  • Serves as a senior technical resource for application engineering activities, ensuring solutions align with organizational goals, technical standards, and design requirements.
  • Reviews, evaluates, and recommends application, system, and process improvements to enhance performance, reliability, supportability, and user experience.
  • Performs code reviews and promotes development standards, quality assurance practices, security requirements, and documentation standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Creates and maintains technical documentation, including application designs, integration specifications, support procedures, configuration information, and operational documentation.
  • Analyzes, troubleshoots, and resolves complex application, data, and integration issues; conducts root‑cause analysis and implements long‑term corrective actions.
  • Leads and contributes to projects of varying size and complexity, including technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and post‑implementation support.
  • Ensures appropriate technologies, tools, and development frameworks are effectively utilized to meet organizational and customer needs.
  • Maintains expert knowledge of supported applications, development frameworks, integration technologies, and industry best practices to continuously improve service delivery and solution effectiveness.
  • Supports software licensing compliance and adherence to applicable organizational policies and standards.

  • Provides technical support to all IT customers and serves as technical lead in areas of expertise
  • Resolves escalated Help Desk tickets

Required

  • Strong understanding of middleware & Integration platforms to build and manage integration flows like OIC, Apache Camel, IBM MQ, MuleSoft, Apigee,APIM
  • Deep knowledge of service bus patterns and low‑code automation cross‑platform workflows. Experience with message broker, event routing and queue management
  • Proficiency in API management, service orchestration, message routing, and operational system synchronization (e.g., ERP to EAM, PCI, GIS)
  • Proven experience developing KPIs, executive dashboards, and data modeling.
  • Hands‑on experience with data quality, governance, and metadata management
  • Experience working with Cloud & DevOps tools
  • Solid understanding of VPNs, SSL, OAuth, and enterprise data privacy policies
  • Proficient in delivering reliable and secure IT solutions with excellent customer service.
  • Proficient in architectural best practices

  • Ability to learn and assimilate new technologies in enterprise applications.

Qualifications Required education and licenses
  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or software engineering, or equivalent years of education and work experience
  • Current valid driver’s license and ability to remain insurable under the vehicle liability policy
Required work experience
  • Minimum eight years in application engineering, data engineering, software development or a related field
  • Minimum five years working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (e.g., SDLC)
  • Minimum two years in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports
Preferred education, licenses, and work experience
  • Three of the following:
  • Five years experience with the standard data life cycle, including enterprise integrations, ETL/ELT, data warehousing, data modeling, analytics and reporting, with AI/ML experience strongly preferred
