Job description

Job Description: CNC Machinist

Job Summary
As a CNC Machinist, you will support the efficient operation of computer numerical control (CNC) machinery and contribute to the precision manufacturing of industrial components. This role requires strong skills in machine setup, operation, maintenance, and quality control to ensure finished products meet job specifications, company standards, and industry requirements.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Identify obstacles, safety concerns, and process issues; support the development of practical corrective actions.
  2. Set up and operate toolroom equipment, including lathes, mills, broaches, grinders, and related machines, to produce parts according to job specifications.
  3. Review job orders and bring required materials from the warehouse into the shop.
  4. Operate multi-head CNC-controlled machines.
  5. Fabricate parts to blueprint specifications using appropriate machines and processes, such as Strippit, Whitney, Cincinnati Press Brake, and Koike Torch equipment.
  6. Operate general fabrication equipment, including Mubea, Carlton radial arm drill, rollers, and similar machinery.
  7. Operate overhead cranes safely and in accordance with company safety protocols.
  8. Organize paperwork to ensure jobs are completed according to company standards.
  9. Collaborate with the CNC Programmer to maximize plate usage and improve production efficiency.
Essential Skills and Experience
  1. High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in CNC machining preferred.
  2. Proven experience as a CNC Operator, including machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
  3. Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GDT) symbols.
  4. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and perform quality checks.

Pay: $23-$35/hr Depending on Experience

Safety Environmental Factors:
All employees are expected to adhere to the companys safety policies to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. This role involves working under extreme hot or cold conditions and requires the physical ability to stand for the entire shift, use hands for various tasks, ascend stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. Team members must occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close, distant, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
