Job description

Are you looking for a dynamic and rewarding environment surrounded by professionals who enjoy variety, professional autonomy, and building lasting relationships with patients of all ages? Located in Gresham, Oregon, Mt. Hood Eye Care is looking to add a skilled professional to its team. Whether you are an experienced professional or a new graduate, we encourage you to check out this incredible opportunity.
Why join us?
Mt. Hood Eye Care is dedicated to providing friendly, high-quality eye care in the Northwest through its three thriving locations and a close-knit team of 20 staff members. The practice offers comprehensive optometric services, including routine eye exams, contact lens fittings, and the diagnosis and management of conditions such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and dry eye. Recognized as a crucial point of care for many patients who may lack easy access to specialists, the work is both challenging and rewarding. Looking ahead, Mt. Hood Eye Care aims to continue delivering exceptional care while deepening its connection to the communities it serves and evolving to meet the future needs of both patients and team members.
What you'll do:
As a full-time Optometrist, you'll provide comprehensive optometry to patients of all ages and with visual and medical conditions. You'll care for 14 to 16 patients daily and have access to cutting-edge technology, including OCT, VF, fundus camera, and all automated lanes, with which you'll confidently conduct comprehensive eye tests, ensuring precise diagnoses and tailored solutions. Working closely with a team of talented professionals, you'll collaborate to offer patients the best level of eyecare and eyewear. This position offers full-time employment.
Who you are:
If you enjoy working with patients of all ages and visual diagnoses, to help ensure a lifetime of clear vision, this is the opportunity for you. You're a team player with excellent clinical and patient communication skills, focused on a shared vision of patient care. You consistently exceed patient expectations while providing personalized and individualized care to ensure excellent eye health and vision care. A strong commitment to continuous learning, exceptional communication skills, and a genuine passion for making a positive impact in the lives of others are essential qualities as you'll play a vital role in the continued success and expansion of the business.
Why you'll love Gresham:
Gresham offers a unique mix of small-town charm and outdoor adventure that's hard to beat. Nestled at the base of Mount Hood, it's a perfect spot for anyone who loves hiking, skiing, mountain biking, or just being close to nature. Despite its peaceful setting, Gresham is only about 45 minutes from Portland, so you get access to a major metro area without the daily traffic and cost of city living. It's a great place to raise a family, with good schools, a growing community, and a strong sense of local pride. For the ideal candidate, Sandy offers both a fulfilling professional opportunity and a high quality of life.
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Optometry license in the state of Oregon
