Job description

Title of Job: Revenue Billing Analyst
Department: G&A - Accounting / MSR-FSR HQ, Chandler, AZ
Reports to: Controller
Position Description
A Revenue Billing Analyst manages the end-to-end billing cycle, ensuring accurate invoicing, revenue recognition, and account reconciliation. They analyze billing data to detect errors, resolve customer disputes, and support month-end close, often partnering with sales and finance teams to improve revenue processes and ensure contract compliance.
Primary Objectives
Invoicing & Billing Management: Generating and distributing accurate customer invoices based on contract terms and billing schedules.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyzing large datasets to identify billing trends, revenue variances, and opportunities for process improvement.
Cost Models: Assist business unit with creating and reviewing cost models for projects to include predictive gross margin and impacts of variations.
Dispute Resolution: Investigating and resolving billing discrepancies, payment shortfalls, and customer inquiries in a timely manner.
Revenue Assurance: Monitoring accounts receivable (A/R) and ensuring that all sales and orders are accurately captured and billed to prevent revenue leakage.
Compliance & Audits: Ensuring billing practices adhere to internal controls, regulatory standards (like SOX), and payer rules.
Reconciliation: Performing monthly and quarterly reconciliations between billing systems and the general ledger.

• Strong financial reporting skills.
• Advanced Excel Skills required and must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficient with QuickBooks.
• Thoroughness, accuracy, and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
• Organized, dependable, reliable, able to work well independently and in a cross functional team.
• Excellent communication skills. Must be able to articulate clearly both with the written and spoken word.
• Strong organizational skills and an ability to manage projects and activities in a structured way and evaluate the results. Must be able to overcome obstacles to achieve the right end result.

Education and Experience
• BS Accounting or Associates and work experience equivalent.
• 4+ years of accounting or accounting related experience.
