Job description

We are seeking a skilled Supervisor Sales Engineering to join our dynamic team. This role involves working closely with our sales and technical teams to design and quote multiple offerings including high-speed internet solutions as well as IT services and solutions to the hospitality industry. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for providing technical expertise during the sales process, ensuring customer requirements are met.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop and advance a top-tier Network Engineers and System Engineers workforce by forecasting future skill needs, ensuring the team is prepared for upcoming challenges and opportunities.
  • Manage team response during critical outages, coordinating technical bridges, vendor escalations, and regular communication with IT End User Services leadership to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Responsible for essential leadership duties, including but not limited to, inclusive excellence, responsibility and accountability, effective communication, teamwork, high-performance mindset, business acumen, recruitment and retention, change leadership and coaching and development.
  • Will work with the sales team to understand customer needs and provide technical solutions that meet those requirements and assess current network and wireless infrastructure to build appropriate scope of work.
  • Will create bill of materials and estimated labor requirements and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to potential clients network installation plans utilizing Ekahau to read technical specifications.
  • Deep understanding of wireless and RF expertise to make sound, competitive, and high-quality recommendations and propose IT solutions tailored to the unique needs of hotels.
  • Responsibilities include network infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud services, and guest management systems detailed and accurate quotes for Managed Service Provider (MSP) services.
  • MSP solutions include maintenance, monitoring, and support contracts recommendations and quotes for projects around additional technology and equipment utilized by hotels, including Property Management Systems, Point of Sale systems, digital signage, security cameras, door locks, and guest room entertainment systems from various manufacturers updated on industry trends and advancements in wireless technology to continually enhance our service offerings.
Required Qualifications
  • 3 years of experience in a sales engineering or network engineering role
  • understanding of wireless networking principles, protocols, and standards
  • understanding of the technical aspects and operational requirements of the hospitality industry
  • problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues
  • communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  • to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • experience with Ruckus, Aruba, or similar wireless manufacturers
  • Ability to utilize Ekahau and Visio to read technical specs and design install plans with MSP software tools and platforms of hotel technology ecosystems, including integration of network solutions with hotel management software and guest services technology
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the hospitality industry
  • Technical certifications: CCNA, CCWNA, or Ruckus WiSE
Physical Demands and Requirements

Ability to continuously sit, stand or walk. Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift occasionally. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment

Generally works in an office environment but is occasionally be required to perform job duties outside of the typical office setting. Evening, overnight, and weekend work may be required at times. Travel is up to 25% at times.
