Position Summary

The Channel Account Manager builds and maintains strong relationships with authorized resellers and distributors while partnering closely with Getac field sales, inside sales, and internal departments. The role ensures channel partners are knowledgeable, engaged, and successful in delivering Getac solutions to customers and prospects. This position serves as a direct-touch liaison between Getac and key channel and distribution partners, balancing sales support, partner management, and pre- and post-sales activities to increase revenue year over year.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute channel strategy across the assigned territory, including identifying, recruiting, onboarding, and developing channel partners by vertical and geography. 
  • Increase Getac visibility and revenue within targeted accounts through product training, channel marketing activities, account mapping, and alignment with Getac sales teams and partner counterparts.
  • Maintain regular communication with channel partners regarding Getac products, policies, rules of engagement, operating procedures, and business opportunities.
  • Forecast channel opportunities accurately, monitor sales activity, analyze point-of-sale performance, and provide weekly/monthly reporting on channel business and partner growth.
  • Manage partner support activities including market development funds, demo loan agreements, regional trade shows, and cross-functional coordination with Regional Sales Managers and Inside Sales Managers.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of Channel Sales Management/Partner Development and minimum 8 years of direct sales experience in a sales region/territory with a positive track record of achieving sales quotas.
  • Certifications: No specific professional certification required in the prior job description.
  • Skills: Channel strategy and partner development, forecasting, account analysis, communication and presentation, independent work, prioritization, relationship building, Microsoft Office, and customer solution development.

Travel

This position requires approximately 50% travel.
