    Job Description: Maintenance Operator
    PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
    The Maintenance Operator is responsible for the execution of a variety of maintenance, development, and operations tasks that promote efficiency of MSI Express Inc production lines. Duties and responsibilities include:
    • Line operations
    • Line troubleshooting and maintenance
    • Line changeovers, including some sanitation
    • Line ERP data entry

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
    The Maintenance Operator must:
    • Understand all quality specifications associated with ingredients, product, packaging, and machinery, and operate all machinery and equipment in compliance with those standards
    • Work with packaging machinery in a food environment
    • Operate machinery or equipment at centerlines and speeds sufficient to accomplish production efficiency goals
    • Collaborate with Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager, and Production Manager to improve equipment reliability and understand production targets
    • Recognize equipment malfunctions or substandard speeds, troubleshoot, and make adjustments to return equipment to expected productivity levels
    • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on assigned machinery or equipment
    • Assist in cleanup and setup of the line to keep it functioning at desired productivity levels
    • Participate in changeovers and sanitation, including removal and assembly of machine parts on packaging line equipment
    • Utilize machining, electrical, and shop skills, such as drilling, tapping, grinding, understanding basic electrical circuits, and replacing fuses and motors
    • Follow all company policies, including Safety Behaviors and Good Manufacturing Practices
    • Ensure workplace is clean, organized, and safe
    • Wear personal protective equipment as required
    • Comply with OSHA regulations and/or MSDS standards

    CAPABILITY PROFILE
    Minimum Qualifications/Skills/Working Conditions:
    • May be required to provide basic tools to perform repairs and maintenance
    • Ability to work overtime as needed - Essential
    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb and/or sit frequently or through the duration of the shift - Essential
    • Have appropriate eye, hand, and foot coordination to properly use various equipment and/or tools - Essential
