Commercial Construction Superintendent


MSF Hospitality is looking for an experienced Commercial Construction General Superintendent to oversee multiple project sites, ensuring each project is executed efficiently and in compliance with company standards. You'll be managing superintendents, coordinating resources, and maintaining high safety and quality standards. The General Superintendent reports to the Director of Operations and works closely with Project Managers to ensure successful project completion.This role is ideal for someone who is solution-oriented, highly organized, and thrives working independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage on-site construction activities across assigned projects
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the performance of site superintendents.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Plan and delegate responsibilities to assistant superintendents for all projects.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with the project team and subcontractors
  • Provide mentoring and oversight to Assistant Superintendents as needed
  • Help site supers coordinate activities of all subcontractors across multiple sites.
  • Make sure site supers are conducting regular meetings with subcontractors to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Help develop and maintain project schedules.
  • Ensure projects stay on schedule through effective planning and resource management.
  • Material and equipment management
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce safety protocols.
  • Ensures site superintendents are leading weekly safety meetings and toolbox talks.
  • Monitor the budget and ensure potential cost overruns are identified.
  • Identify potential owner change orders and elevate to project management
  • Track and distribute any changes to plans through RFIs or bulletins.
  • Review Superintendents RFIs prior to elevating them to project management


Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience as a Commercial Superintendent, General Superintendent, Project Manager or similar role
  • Strong leadership, time management, and coordination skills
  • Proven ability to oversee multiple subcontractors and manage field logistics
  • Proficiency in Procore, Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with construction documentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (required)
