Responsibilities
Now hiring for a Production Supervisor at our MSA Safety Globe Manufacturing plant in Ada, Ok. In this role, you will be counted on to perform the following tasks:
Daily Execution
  • Facilitate hour-by-hour output performance to required rates.
  • Balance and coordinate workflow to ensure proper staff placement.
  • Track order fulfillment completion rates for production departments.
  • Work effectively with all plant support groups i.e. HR, EHS, Industrial Engineering, Quality, Maintenance groups as required.
  • Driving productivity improvement through teamwork and operator engagement via data analysis.
  • Time and attendance maintenance and analysis.
  • Comply with standards pertaining to safety, people, quality, delivery, CI & Operating System.

Manage communication, skills, and experience of the work team
  • Conduct staff meetings / huddles / peer communication.
  • Provide associates with the necessary feedback to support their job specific development (safety, quality, performance).
  • Identify needs for specific training or development amongst associates.
  • Facilitate training to enhance flexibility and support growth and development.
  • Help maintaining an up-to-date skills matrix, fostering versatility.
  • Serve as a role model and knowledge disseminator by complying, enforcing and adhering to company policies, standards, and regulations.

Comply with, maintain, and disseminate the operating system.
  • Perform daily maintenance of performance indicators.
  • Participate and report out in performance monitoring meetings.
  • Utilize the MSA Operating System to work on a structured problem-solving methodology to ensure preventive/corrective actions are focused on the true root cause.
  • Engage in CI type of activities.

Qualifications
Required:
Level I - High school diploma required.
Level I - Minimum 2 years supervisory experience, plus 3 years production related experience.
Level II - Minimum of 4 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Level II - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a Related Field.
Preferred:
  • Experience working in a manufacturing setting via KPIs.
  • Experience in Safety and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
