MS-IL Staffing & Packaging and its local clients are NOW HIRING for 1st shift Sit-Down Driver for Receiving in the Southwest Indianapolis IN, area!

  • Shift: 1st Shift, Monday – Friday, 9AM-5:30PM
  • Pay: $19 - $20 / hour
  • Location: Indianapolis (Southwest)
Job Summary:
  • Receiving Clerk is responsible for a customer's inventory that is being shipped out. Clerk must be able to work with RF scanner and data entry for warehouse management system. We also expect you to be “picky” when it comes to ensuring the quality of orders. The job will require an individual who is energetic, detail oriented and safety-minded who can function in a fast-paced environment. Product, size, and weight of boxes will vary throughout the day. Could be standing and/or walking for long periods daily while frequently bending, twisting, reaching, and consistently lifting up to 50 lbs. Picking orders using a sit-down forklift. Must be flexible to work in other areas and assigned task.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operate RF scanners to accurately locate, fill orders and effectively manage inventory
  • Accurately count location prior to pick and after pick to ensure pick accuracy.
  • Build pallets according to weight and size to prevent any crushing of product.
  • Be able to operate a sit-down forklift
  • Proper placement of shipping labels on the completed pallets prior to staging.
  • Staging cargo within the warehouse in a safe and orderly manner
  • Responsible for general housekeeping to ensure warehouse standards of cleanliness and organization are maintained. This may include sweeping, consolidation of product, removal of dunnage and other tasks as needed.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies when performing picking assignments
  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements
  • Not afraid of heights.
Qualifications Required:
  • Ability to show up to work on time and work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift, up to at least 50 pounds
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Warehouse Management System experience
  • Computer experience
Preferred:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous warehouse experience is a plus
