PSE's New Product Development team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Business Support Analyst - Street Lighting position!

Job Description

The Business Support Analyst supports PSE Street Lighting team through customer billing issue resolution and update processing. This role performs a variety of quantitative/qualitative analysis, as well as reporting, to support business needs and requirements. The Business Support Analyst provides technical support (troubleshooting, maintenance and enhancements) and consultation for a variety of database systems used througout the department.

As a PSE employee you will uphold the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE's operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities and promote and support a culture of total safety. Also, you will demonstrate commitment to conduct business honestly, ethically and consistent with our core values and Code of Conduct and ensure duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provides related application maintenance, troubleshooting, and training for internal and external stakeholders when necessary. Assists with application system implementation, testing and/or upgrades as appropriate (may include coding and scripting). 
  • Inputs street lighting data to ensure proper billing for lighting customers.
  • Investigates and resolves complex billing issues though archive research and customer outreach.
  • Evaluates the output from departmental modeling tools, benchmarking comparisons and performance reporting. Initiates, leads and performs analysis; provides/presents recommendations.
  • Provides ad-hoc data analysis, which may include research and review of issues, and follow-on response.
  • Coordinates and suports data requests from internal or external sources (such as compliance, audits, government filings, etc)
  • Assists with departmental initiatives, new analysis development and process improvement, on an as-needed basis. 
  • May lead project teams on various related business initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in business, economics, finance, or related, and 3 years experience in quantitative/ qualitative analysis; or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
  • Experience working with relational database sytems (querying, analysis, reporting).
  • Strong computer skill utilizing MS Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Ability to understand and explain technical concepts.
  • Excellent writing, communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience and desire to work in a team environment.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills. Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and prioritize assignments.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Project management skills.
  • Experience leading teams.
  • Related business-specific experience may include:
    • Advanced relational database familiarity (MS Access, SQL, Oracle).
    • Familiarity with CSEE Systems (CSY, CLX, CMS).
    • Knowledge of Crystal Reports and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
    • Knowledge of programming language (Visual Basic, SQL, VB.NET, HTML).
    • Knowledge of rate-making process.
    • Familiarity with SAP, BI, PACE.
  • Process documentation and improvement experience.

The pay range for this position is $72,700.00 - $103,300.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
