Job description

Coordinator, Contract Services (Procurement Specialist)
Location: Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan
Build More Than Contracts. Help Deliver Critical Infrastructure.
Are you a detail-driven procurement professional who enjoys bringing contracts, people, and projects together? Do you thrive in a fast-paced project environment where your work helps move construction and infrastructure projects from planning to award?
We are looking for a candidate with strong technical, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills to join our DCC team in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
As a Coordinator, Contract Services (Procurement Specialist), you'll support construction and consultant-service procurements that help build and maintain critical defence infrastructure. Working closely with project managers, client-partners, consultants, contractors, and industry partners, you'll help ensure procurement processes are fair, efficient, and aligned with applicable policies and regulations.
By joining a trusted partner of the Government of Canada and the Canadian construction industry since 1951, you'll contribute to infrastructure solutions that support Canada's troops, military operations, and mission readiness. If you bring sound judgment, strong communication skills, and a passion for problem-solving, this role is for you.
What You'll Do
Lead Procurement That Matters
You'll develop and administer procurement strategies for construction and consultant contracts, prepare solicitation and tender documents, coordinate bid evaluations, and support contract awards from beginning to end.
Be a Trusted Advisor
You'll advise project managers and client-partners on procurement and contract requirements, helping teams make informed decisions and keep projects moving.
Connect People and Process
You'll coordinate communication with contractors, consultants, industry partners, and internal teams while supporting procurement planning throughout the project lifecycle.
Support Fair and Effective Contracting
You'll help manage procurement compliance, identify and address risks, support negotiations and contract awards, and build strong working relationships with stakeholders.
Help Deliver Infrastructure Projects
You'll contribute to the successful delivery of infrastructure and construction projects at 15 Wing Moose Jaw and across the region.
What You Bring
Education, Experience & Skills

  • Experience in construction procurement, contract administration, consultant selection, project delivery, engineering, architecture, or a related field
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management, and public-sector procurement principles
  • Strong understanding of construction and professional services contracting
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to review technical and project documentation while managing multiple procurement activities at once
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • College diploma or degree in engineering technology, architecture, construction management, business, procurement, or a related discipline
  • Experience supporting construction or infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with government procurement processes, trade agreements, and contract administration
  • Experience working with consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders in a construction environment

Why Join Us?

  • Work on meaningful infrastructure projects that support Canada's military operations
  • Collaborate with experienced project managers, engineers, and construction professionals
  • Gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of construction and consultant-service procurements
  • Build your career in a professional, team-oriented environment
