Job Title: Software Engineer - AI Tooling & Quality Engineering Platforms
Team: Global Quality Engineering (GQE)
Location: New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco

Overview
Paramount Skydance Corp is seeking a Software Engineer to build AIpowered tools, backend services, and internal platforms that support the Global Quality Engineering organization. This is not an "in test" role - you will be developing productiongrade software that accelerates test creation, triage, analysis, and automation workflows across GQE. You will contribute to intelligent systems that improve engineering efficiency and modernize how quality engineering is performed at scale.


Key Responsibilities
Build backend services, CLIs, and internal tools that integrate AI capabilities into GQE workflows.
Implement features for AIassisted test generation, log summarization, and defect triage.
Contribute to RAG pipelines, embeddings workflows, and LLMpowered utilities under senior guidance.
Integrate AI tooling into CI/CD pipelines and existing automation frameworks.
Collaborate with QE, Platform, and Data Engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver practical solutions.
Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews and engineering best practices.


Qualifications
2+ years of software engineering experience (Java, Kotlin, Python, or similar).
Experience building backend services, APIs, or internal tools.
Familiarity with LLMs, embeddings, or AIassisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, etc.).
Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong problemsolving skills and interest in AIdriven engineering.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $115,920.00 - 173,880.00. 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
