Your role as an Account Executive at Xsens
As Account Executive Health & Sports, you are responsible for the sales of our health & sports-related products and propositions in USA. This role focuses on research and education customers in the traditional health & sports market, including universities, research institutes, biomechanics labs, sports science labs, rehabilitation and injury-prevention researchers, engineering and robotics research departments, and other academic teams using motion capture to digitize human movement for research and teaching.
Your customer portfolio will span universities, research laboratories, and R&D teams in fields such as robotics and humanoid systems. In this position, you will act as a results-driven sales professional, proactively identifying and developing new business opportunities. A key part of the role involves frequent travel to customer sites to deliver on-site demonstrations of our technology.
You will collaborate closely with Sales, Technical Support, Marketing, and Operations teams, playing a central role in expanding our customer base and driving revenue growth across the U.S. market. You will be responsible for building strong pipelines, converting opportunities, and establishing long-term relationships with new clients.
Reporting to the Head of Global Sales, this is a remote position within the assigned U.S. territory, with regular travel required for customer visits, conferences, and internal meetings.
Key challenges :
  • Responsible for the direct and indirect sales process, aiming at exceeding sales targets
  • Follow up leads and generate new business
  • Target new markets with our motion capture products
  • Resellers / Distributor management
  • Responsible for working with the sales & marketing teams to identify, interest and onboard new clients and developing existing client relationships
  • Submit short and long-range sales plans, prepare sales strategies utilizing marketing programs
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders, executive sponsors
  • Responsible for keeping clients satisfied and delivering exceptional client service on day-to-day basis
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations
  • Forecast and track sales metrics

The right candidate will have experience and a strong track record in international business to business sales, while having a strong affinity to sensor applications and data analytics in health sectors by experience or by education.
Written and verbal communication skills and fluent English are a must, as is IT literacy. This position requires a highly motivated, self-starting sales professional with technical acumen, who is focused on results and can interface and communicate effectively at all levels. Also, we are looking for a professional with:
  • Min. 5 years of experience and proven success in B2B sales in (high) tech in Health, Robotics or Sports
  • Ability to travel in an assigned region up to 30% of time
  • Experience selling technical hardware/software solutions, scientific instrumentation, motion analysis systems, or complex solution sales involving both hardware and software.
  • Master's degree or experience preferred related to Biomechanics, Movement Science, Sport Science, Rehabilitation science, Physiotherapy, Biomedical Science, Mechanical Engineering, Human Movement Science or Robotics Engineering
  • Knowledge, understanding and experience with respect to modern CRM and AI tools
  • The ability to plan and execute on a tight schedule
  • Proactive work attitude to solve problems and looks for opportunities to take on more responsibility
  • Customer centric with a strong focus on independent business development actions and result driven
  • Well organized, disciplined and professional sales funnel management
  • Analytical, written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Willing to travel within the assigned region up to 40% of your time
