Fun Kids Drum Instructor

About FitFUNd

We are pop-up fitness organization that hosts super fun fitness programs for children. We provide different organizations in Norther NJ, the instructor and equipment brought directly to their location.


Role and Responsibilities

We are hire out of box trainers that can enjoy being creative with movement, music, dance, different props and equipment. They know how to have fun and enjoy working with children. Our classes include: music, dance, story time yoga, agility obstacle courses, super heroes workout, light saber classes, glow in the dark dance parties and more.

The personal trainer uses our curriculum and leads the1hr fitness session for group of children at the designated location. They will need to drive their personal vehicle to the location: library or school. Class sizes range from 10 to 15 kids. Children are ages 5 to 10. New trainers will work with another FitFUNd staff member for their first sessions for guidance and support.


FitFUNd Hires Team Members Who:

  • Individuals who are enthusiastic, creative, outgoing and flexible.

  • Experience creating curriculum and lesson plans

  • Ability to engage and manage group of children

  • Comfortable working in community spaces

  • Understands kids fitness = organized fun

  • Can customize program/routine for both girls and boys

  • Creatively incorporate kid friendly equipment (bucket drums)

  • Comfortable speaking with parents and children about safety rules


Required Skills:

  • Experience working with directly with children in some role an capacity.

  • Previous music experience teaching and/or performing music or (professional or educational).

  • Reliable car transportation to travel to location

  • Lives in close proximity to Bergen or Morris County, NJ

  • Regular access to e-mail notifications via smartphone

2 or 4-year field-related degree: Music, Theatre, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Athletic Medicine, Movement Science, Sociology, Early Childhood Development, Education, or Dance.


Pay:

Competitive hourly rate. Plus gas stipend. This is a gig role. As we have bookings we contact you (think Uber for fitness). Role is best or those with flexibility during after school hours 3pm onwards and some weekends.
