Job description

Job Description Step into a pivotal operations role where your coordination skills keep goods moving smoothly and customers satisfied. This is a hands-on position in a busy contract logistics environment, ideal for someone who thrives on accuracy, structure, and keeping multiple moving parts under control. About the Role: As a Logistics Coordinator, you will oversee day-to-day inventory, transportation, and order flow to ensure on-time, compliant deliveries.

You will act as the central point between warehouse operations, carriers, and internal stakeholders, maintaining clear visibility of stock and shipments. Your work will directly impact service levels, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance across the logistics operation. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate daily inbound and outbound shipments, aligning transportation schedules with warehouse capacity and customer requirements.

Manage order processing from receipt through fulfillment, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and on-time dispatch. Monitor and maintain inventory records, performing regular cycle counts and reconciliations to resolve discrepancies. Track shipment status and provide proactive updates to internal teams and customers, addressing delays or issues promptly.

Prepare and maintain logistics documentation, including bills of lading, shipping manifests, and compliance records. Work closely with carriers and drivers to confirm load details, appointment times, and delivery instructions. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload goods safely and efficiently.

Support and enforce regulatory and safety standards in the warehouse, reporting hazards and participating in safety audits. Key Requirements: Proven experience in a logistics, warehouse, or distribution coordination role. Strong skills in inventory management, including tracking, reconciliation, and stock movement control.

Hands-on experience with transportation planning and shipment scheduling in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end order processing and tracking with high accuracy. Familiarity with regulatory and safety compliance in warehousing and transportation operations.

Ability to operate forklifts safely, with solid practical experience in material handling. Proficient in using warehouse or logistics management systems and basic office software. Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.

Desirable Skills: Experience working in contract logistics or third-party logistics (3PL) settings. Knowledge of regional transportation networks and carrier operations in West Texas. Exposure to continuous improvement initiatives or lean warehousing practices.

Ability to interpret and work with basic logistics KPIs and performance reports. Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams such as customer service and procurement. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid forklift certification or licence. Additional vocational training or coursework in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations preferred. Any relevant safety or compliance training (e.g., OSHA-related) considered an advantage

If you're a detail-focused logistics professional who enjoys keeping operations running smoothly, this role offers a strong platform to apply your skills and make a visible impact-apply now to be considered.
