Executive Director - Gran Villas Assisted Living

JOB SUMMARY: The Executive Director is responsible for the efficient functioning and coordination of all Center operations, for development and implementation of policy and procedure, for ensuring that residents receive the highest level of services.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Directs, coordinates, and is responsible for all activities of The Gran Villas assisted living center to provide service in accordance with Medicalodges, Inc., and Center objectives and guidelines.
  • Supervises all employees of the Center, and may direct contractors to fulfill obligations of the contract.
  • Responsible for the implementation of daily marketing activity and admittance procedures which ensure the maximum occupancy of the Center.
  • Establishes and implements policy, promotes and coordinates favorable relationships with community agencies, health care providers, health care facilities, residents and families, and community service groups.
  • Promotes improvements to the Center to meet individual and public need.
  • Responsible for all community and public promotion of the Center, its programs and services, and recruitment and admission of residents, and continuity of resident care and discharge planning and implementation.
  • Responsible for the hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, discipline and dismissal of employees.
  • Responsible for budget recommendations and operating within budgetary guidelines and standard fiscal management practices.
  • Responsible for coordinating resident leisure activity programs and events, and for assuring the Center respects the rights of residents.
  • Responsible for preparing and submitting resident services, business, financial and employment reports in a timely manner.
  • Has regular contact with providers including physicians, home health services, pharmacists, health care facilities; and with referral, regulatory and reimbursement agencies.
  • On call 24-hours a day.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Kansas Assisted Living Operator license or proof of having passed the course.
  • Experience in long term care
  • Leadership and teamwork skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Computer skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
