Job description

Job Location: TN, Mountain City – Northeast Correctional Complex, Mountain City, TN 37683. Position Type: Full-Time. Education Level: Professional Degree. Shift: Day. Compensation: $20,000 retention bonus and compensation starting at $301,000+.

Responsibilities

The Medical Director provides clinical direction to meet service delivery requirements, directs clinical services for patients, and supervises medical staff under the Statewide Medical Director. The Director collaborates with the Health Services Administrator to ensure efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided, and participates in committees such as Continuous Quality Improvement, Infection Prevention and Control, and Pharmacy and Therapeutics as requested.

Qualifications
  • MD or DO
  • Active, unrestricted Tennessee medical license
  • Active, unrestricted DEA license
  • Leadership/directorship experience preferred
  • Ability to pass credentialing and background checks
Shift
  • Day Shift, Monday – Friday
  • PAID call
  • No nights, holidays, or weekends
