Job description

Fox Motors has a Driver/Motorcycle Porter opening in Hudsonville, MI at Grand Rapids Harley-Davidson. You would contribute to our overall vision, "Working together moving people throughout life," by providing support to the service manager and dealership teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Driver/Motorcycle Porter is to deliver customer satisfaction by transporting items in a safe, timely manner. The Driver/Motorcycle Porter will pick up and drop off items while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules. This position emphasizes a customer-centered approach, with a mission to enhance the powersports experience by delivering high-quality service and product expertise.

Key responsibilities include the following. Others may be assigned.

  • Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner.
  • Must have ability to pull a trailer and back up in tight/confined areas.
  • Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
  • Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles, this includes but is not limited to motorcycles, parts & accessories.
  • Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients.
  • Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
  • Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
  • Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries.
  • Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Detail oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft systems.
  • 2-3 years' experience as a driver. Excellent driving skills with a constant focus on safety.
  • Customer Focus: Gives customers internal/external needs priority and responds quickly to customer concerns.
  • Adaptability/Autonomy: Maintains a productive schedule, timeline, and goals.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Chauffer's license.
  • Cycle Endorsement preferred.
  • Excellent driving record required.
