Okoboji Motor Company is seeking a motivated and energetic Business Development Coordinator to join our high-performing dealership team.

If you enjoy working with people, responding to online inquiries, setting appointments, and being part of a fast-paced sales environment — this is your opportunity to grow within the automotive industry. This role is the critical first connection between our dealership and our customers. You will manage internet leads, inbound calls, text messaging conversations, and appointment scheduling for both our GM and Toyota brands.

No prior automotive experience required — we provide paid training and clear career growth paths into Sales or Management.

What You’ll DoLead Management & Appointment Setting
  • Respond immediately to internet leads, phone inquiries, and live chat conversations

  • Make outbound follow-up calls and text messages to prospective customers

  • Set qualified sales appointments for the showroom floor

  • Confirm appointments and re-engage no-shows

  • Maintain strong follow-up cadence for unsold prospects

Customer Communication
  • Provide accurate information about vehicles, pricing, availability, and dealership processes

  • Introduce financing options and guide customers through next steps

  • Deliver exceptional customer service via phone, email, and text messaging

  • Represent Okoboji Motor Company with professionalism and urgency

CRM & Process Accountability
  • Log all activities daily in the dealership CRM system

  • Maintain strong lead response times and follow established BDC scripts

  • Work closely with Sales Managers and Sales Consultants to ensure smooth handoff

  • Support marketing and social media efforts when needed


Qualifications
  • Customer service, retail sales, hospitality, or call center experience preferred

  • Strong phone skills and ability to build rapport quickly

  • Comfortable making outbound calls

  • High-energy, positive attitude

  • Organized with strong follow-up discipline

  • Comfortable working with CRM systems, email, text platforms, and multiple computer screens

  • Team-oriented and coachable

  • Must pass background check and drug screening
