We need an electrician who's highly motivated in their electrical work and excited to expand into HVAC/R systems. You'll be working on commercial and industrial equipment where electrical and mechanical systems intersect-motor controls, VFDs, control circuits, building automation systems, and HVAC equipment ranging from mini splits to large chillers and boilers. This isn't just pulling wire; it's understanding how electrical systems integrate with refrigeration and air handling equipment.
What You'll Do
Electrical Work:
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on commercial HVAC/R equipment
  • Install conduit and electrical raceways to NEC standards
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues independently
  • Read and interpret electrical P&IDs, blueprints, schematics, and mechanical specifications (MCA/MOCP)
  • Install and troubleshoot motors, motor controls, VFDs, and inverter-rated motors
  • Work with low voltage AC/DC control circuits
  • Implement LOTO procedures on simple and complex systems

HVAC/R Work:
  • Service and maintain HVAC equipment from mini splits to chillers and boilers
  • Learn refrigeration systems and their integration with electrical controls
  • Collaborate with HVAC technicians on equipment installations and repairs
  • Develop cross-functional knowledge to become more valuable to clients and the team
