We are looking for team members that have resolve, self-motivation and above all a result-orientation, to join a new department of our sales team as a Sales Development Representative (SDR). Based in our office in Centennial Colorado, you will generate a pipeline of new business opportunities by prospecting - continually targeting the right companies and having timely conversations with senior executives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Establishing a great understanding of customer needs and requirements
  • Following up with prospects with outbound cold calls, emails, and social media outreach
  • Communicating Vicon's value proposition to secure initial meetings with potential new customers, in our core markets
  • Working closely with Vicon's senior Business Development Representatives to identify commercial opportunities and progress these opportunities through their buying cycles
  • Generating a pipeline of commercial opportunities by prospecting and researching companies and their management teams
  • Maintaining and expanding Vicon's prospect database
  • Living Vicon's brand values during prospecting

Required Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Self-motivated recent graduates, or applicants early in their sales career perhaps with 1-2 years of experience
  • Great time managers, who can multitask effectively
  • Natural communicators, with excellent writing skills and confidence when speaking to a broad range of professionals from senior academics to executive producers to doctorate-level engineers.
  • Applicants that have drive, capable of attempting a large volume of outbound calls every day
  • Inquisitive and curious, with the right mindset to research and identify key prospects to generate leads
  • High energy, with a point to prove and the necessary desire to reach and surpass targets
  • Flexibility, can operate and adapt to fast-paced, start-up environments
