About the Role

Figure is looking for a Motion Designer to join The Brand team. You will work closely with other designers, managers, and stakeholders in creating rich visual stories and interactions that educate, entertain, and inspire others about our company. You will turn complex products and concepts into both easily digestible and detail-driven videos.

Our in-house team works closely with our stakeholders to tell our brand's story, guide and educate our customers, and continue to tell others about who we are. To achieve this, we are looking for a designer that displays qualities of great storytelling, a strong work ethic, but also works well with others. This candidate will build strong motion pieces from the initial stages of brainstorming, to the final product delivery.

What You'll Do

  • Create high-quality impactful videos, interactions, and motion graphics within product, brand, and other areas of the company
  • Work alongside designers, stakeholders, and marketing managers involved in the
  • production process
  • Take charge of the whole motion design production process, from sketching out ideas and creating assets to animating and polishing the final product.
  • Keep up in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and deliver on critical milestones and deadlines.
  • Digest a simple brief and turn a script into a dynamic video that achieves the goals of the brief and is appropriate for the target audience and market.
  • Help update and maintain own our motion guidelines to keep consistency within the brand
  • Collaborate not only within project files, but also in team meetings and brainstorming

What We Look For

  • 3-5+ years professional experience in motion design
  • Experience with video editing and production
  • Expertise in After Effects, Premiere Pro, Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop
  • Cinema 4D and/or illustration knowledge is a plus
  • Understanding of composition and the 12 principles of animation - and how to apply them for fluid mograph storytelling
  • Proficient understanding of design principles and theory
  • Passionate and motivated in individual contribution, but also collaborative efforts
  • Clear communication and presence within tasks
  • Adhere to all company security policies and data handling procedures
  • Complete mandatory security awareness training within required timeframes
  • Promptly report any suspected security incidents or suspicious activity to the Security team

Salary

  • Base Compensation Range: $74,800-$112,200/yr
  • 25% annual bonus target, paid quarterly
  • Company equity in the form of RSUs

This is the compensation range for the role in the United States. Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate's experience, skills, location, internal equity, and evolving business needs. While most offers are generally made within the middle of the range, final compensation is determined based on the factors above.
