Job description

Job Overview Hours: 37.5 hours per week including weekends. Maternity cover until January 2027 with the opportunity to transition to permanent part‐time hours once maternity cover ends. Location: Walker, Newcastle Upon Tyne. Rate: £15.50 per hour. Responsibilities Accompany the client to social activities (e.g., Metro Centre, cinema visits, lunch dates, beach days) and transport her safely on public transport, including bus, ferry, and metro. Assist and encourage the client with personal hygiene duties such as showering, haircare, toileting, and dressing, ensuring appropriate garment selection for weather. Support the client in healthy eating and exercising routines, including meal preparation. Accompany the client to scheduled appointments and may be required to book or make arrangements on her behalf. Qualifications & Requirements Experience working with adults with autism is essential. Must be able to demonstrate strategies to manage dysregulation.
