What are some common challenges motion design interns face during their internship, and how can they overcome them?

Motion Design Interns often encounter challenges such as adapting to new animation software, meeting tight deadlines, and aligning their creative vision with client or brand guidelines. To overcome these hurdles, it's helpful to proactively seek feedback from senior designers, participate in team critiques, and dedicate time to learning the studio's preferred tools and workflows. Building strong communication skills and staying open to constructive criticism can also make it easier to collaborate effectively and grow as a designer.

This is an opportunity to expand the learning process by participating in projects from start to finish and interacting with our design, strategy, and implementation groups. Hired interns will be placed on a specific creative team and assigned a mentor to help them navigate day-to-day worklife. After becoming fully integrated onto their team, interns can expect to work collaboratively on a variety of projects including 3D modeling, environmental design, industrial design, retail design, and more.

Candidates should also have a solid understanding of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Keynote.

Landor looks for students with great portfolios, excellent communication skills, and a strong desire to learn as much as they can about design at a global agency level. Successful candidates will be knowledgeable and passionate about what Landor does, aware of new trends and techniques, and jump in to our work culture with a great attitude and lots of flexibility.

We believe the best work happens when we're together, fostering creativity, collaboration, and connection. That's why we've adopted a hybrid approach, with teams in the office around four days a week.
