Registered Nurse Job, 12 Hour Night Shift (7p-7:30a), Pediatrics
SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE
Powers Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for Pediatrics to work Nights at Community Hospital in Munster, IN.
The Pediatric Unit cares for a variety of patients, the majority of whom are under the age of 18. The most common types of pediatric conditions of patients received are gastroenteritis, respiratory infections, fever, osteomyelitis, cellulitis, fractures, R/O Sepsis/Meningitis, abdominal pain, among others. Adult patients may be admitted to the unit with appropriate, low risk, and stable diagnosis.
Registered Nurse Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for implementing, directing, communicating and documenting the nursing process.
  • Provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and associates.
  • Practices in accordance with current established standards of care, the Nurse Practice Act, the Powers Health policies and procedures, and supports the mission and philosophy of PH by providing the highest quality care.
  • Provides for the well-being of the community, services the needs of all people and demonstrates the values: dignity, compassionate care, community, quality and stewardship.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current professional licensure by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Obtains and maintains current certification as required in specialty areas.
  • Obtains and maintains current CPR.
