We are seeking a customer-focused Mortgage Relationship Officer (Title Commensurate with Experience) to provide exceptional knowledge and service to our expanding market. This role reports to, and collaborates with, the Senior Vice President/Mortgage to identify potential opportunities and is the primary resource and liaison for our Correspondent Bankers. This position also facilitates customer training and onboarding to our product/service suite. This position will be located within the Eastern portion of our region, serving Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana.
Responsibilities Include:
Sales/Relationship Management (80%):
  • Primary mortgage resource/liaison for Correspondent Bankers
  • Coordinates and facilitates sales presentations via WebEx or onsite and assists with technical and operational inquires
  • On-boards new customers
  • Participates in researching and identifying potential mortgage opportunities

Customer Service (15%):
  • Conducts proactive check-in calls with current customers and resolves customer inquiries
  • Works with mortgage processing, underwriting, servicing teams and mortgage team managers
  • Subject matter expert for Encompass questions and issues

Administrative (5%):
  • Collaborates with Mortgage department to develop and update training materials
  • Creates and implements customized BB Connect websites for approved customers

Ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in banking, accounting, business, or related field, along with five or more years of residential mortgage experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the position functions. Working knowledge of mortgage loan origination systems (Encompass preferred) and working knowledge of mortgage compliance.
