HIM Scan Technician
Farmington, CT | J. Morrissey
6-Month Contract | 1st & 2nd Shifts Available
Starting Pay: Approximately $20/hour
J. Morrissey is seeking a HIM Scan Technician to support a healthcare organization in Farmington, CT. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working with electronic medical records, and able to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule
  • 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
  • 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-11:30 PM
  • 6-month contract
  • Starting pay around $20/hour
Responsibilities
  • Prepare patient charts and medical records for scanning
  • Scan and digitize medical records into electronic systems
  • Index documents accurately within the electronic medical record
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure records are complete and legible
  • Maintain and organize medical records
  • Ensure documents are properly assigned and stored
  • Follow established HIM and document-management procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage repetitive tasks
  • Healthcare or medical records experience is a plus
