Therapists will primarily engage with clients through teletherapy, utilizing video conferencing tools to conduct therapy sessions in a secure and confidential setting. • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms in clients.
• Collaboratively develop personalized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs, goals, and preferences of clients.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to promote emotional and psychological growth.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care practices, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
• Continuously monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate integrated care for clients.
• Stay informed about the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatment to enhance the efficacy of therapeutic practices.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with federal and state regulations and ethical standards.
• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to foster a culture of continual learning.
• Advocate for clients' mental health needs, working to destigmatize mental health issues and ensuring they receive the support required for recovery.

The licensed therapist will engage with a diverse range of clients, particularly those struggling with mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Our client base also includes vulnerable populations such as the homeless, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse, necessitating a high level of empathy and culturally competent care. By providing targeted support, LMFTs at Morrison Counseling Center play a critical role in helping clients develop resilience and achieve lasting recovery.

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and rapport with clients.
• Empathy and a nonjudgmental approach towards the experiences and struggles of clients.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively balance client caseloads and administrative tasks.

• Experience working with clients dealing with mood disorders, particularly in outpatient or community mental health settings.
• Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and the technical requirements for conducting secure virtual therapy sessions.
• Knowledge of contemporary treatment modalities and therapeutic practices relevant to addiction counseling.
