Engineering Technician I (Days)

Job Description:

The Role:
Our site in Burnet, TX is seeking a Engineering Technician I position in receiving to join our team.
In this role you would be responsible for starting, monitoring, and troubleshooting purification systems. Additionally, the technician will perform decontamination, sampling, filling, and inspecting products. This role will be part of a team that strives to ensure our products meet the highest standards of safety and quality while meeting the timeliness of our customer's desire. Furthermore, the technician will work cross-functionally.
Shift schedule is a 3-2-2-3 rotation on days (6am-6pm) once fully trained and certified.
What You'll Do:

  • Perform decontamination of manufacturing equipment;

  • Sample, fill, and inspect final products.

  • Pull chemistry samples and submit to the lab for analysis;;

  • Perform inspection of complete product to ensure proper quality standards;

  • Perform lab maintenance including PMs, ordering supplies, cleanup and waste disposal;

  • Ensure on-time delivery of high volume products from make to ship;

  • Propose and implement process improvements

  • Other duties as assigned.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

  • 0-1 years of experience in a technical field (chemical, semiconductor, aerospace, automotive)

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in chemistry, process operations, or another technical field a plus

  • Previous chemical handling experience

  • Previous manufacturing experience is a plus;

  • Knowledge of inventory management; SAP experience is a plus;

  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45000;

  • Frequently lift up to 50lbs and push up to 130lbs;

  • Flexible, able to rapidly respond to new situations and to perform multiple tasks;
