Job description

Morning Star Catholic School,Tampa, is seeking a dedicated and energetic Physical Education Teacher to work with students in Kindergarten through 9th grade. For over 67 years, our school has supported students with learning disabilities and related challenges, providing a nurturing and structured environment where every child can grow academically, socially, and physically.

Position Overview:
The Physical Education Teacher will develop and lead an engaging, inclusive program that introduces students to a variety of sports and physical activities. Instruction focuses on skill development, understanding rules and gameplay, personal fitness, and building confidence through positive participation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver structured, developmentally appropriate PE lessons for diverse learners
  • Teach fundamental motor skills, sport-specific skills, and rules of play
  • Promote personal fitness, healthy habits, and lifelong wellness
  • Foster sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect in all activities
