  • Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is an 820,000-square-foot facility that offers the latest medical programs, cutting-edge technology, and patient-focused care that includes 365 beds, 1,200+ employees, and a 27-bed Emergency Room/Fast Track Unit.

Responsibilities
  • The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for obtaining diagnostic radiographic examinations at a technical level.
  • Identify each patient prior to exam, utilizing two patient identifiers according to hospital policy.
  • Gain patient cooperation by reducing anxieties, providing explanations of treatment, and answering questions.
  • Perform portable x-ray examinations in patient rooms, operating rooms, and emergency rooms.
  • Provide lead protective shield for patients, reducing radiation exposure as low as reasonably achievable.
  • Accept all assignments as prescribed by the Medical Imaging Coordinator regarding room assignment and work to be completed.
  • Enter data utilizing electronic medical records.
  • Prepare examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.
  • Maintain policies and procedures as they relate to HIPAA compliance.
  • Perform any and all other duties assigned.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have NJ Diagnostic Radiology licensure, ARRT, and BLS certifications.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
