Job description

A Day in the Life:
In the position of Facilities Assistant, you will play a critical, hands-on role supporting facilities management by overseeing multiple facilities, driving operational excellence, and ensuring building maintenance, functionality, and day-to-day preservation are executed with speed, precision, and relentless attention to detail.
The Impact You'll Make:
  • Support facilities management and oversee the facility in the areas of facilities maintenance, day-to-day operations, building condition, general upkeep, janitorial, and housekeeping. Monitor all building conditions, ensure the facility is inspection-ready at all times, and ensure all repairs and improvements are made in a timely and proficient manner. Provide suggestions for repair, improvements, and cost efficiencies.
  • Manage the shuttle program and drivers, fill in as an alternate driver as necessary. Ability to drive a forklift and assist office services as necessary.
  • Manage employees and vendors by assigning duties and overseeing the work of contractors to ensure facilities maintenance needs are met, including electrical, plumbing, heating/cooling, ventilation, roofing, and security.
  • Audit employee locations for accurate seating records. Process employee updates promptly and accurately.
Who You Are:
  • Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of Facility Management, Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or a related field of study
  • Additional Experience Desired: Between 1-3 years of experience in facility and warehouse maintenance in a management position
  • Additional Experience Desired: Between 1-3 years of experience in HVAC, building codes, plumbing, and electrical repairs
  • Computer Skills Desired: Microsoft Office proficient
