The Video Monitoring Agent โ€“ Level 1 Position:

Global Axiomโ€™s 24-hour Central Station in Houston, TX, is hiring a Video Monitoring Agent โ€“ Level 1 to join its growing team. The Video Monitoring Agent is responsible for providing security and loss prevention services for Global Axiomโ€™s clients through the utilization of live remote audio, video, and alarm monitoring technologies. ย 

The Video Monitoring Agent will perform a variety of tasks, including, but are not limited to, responding to incidents appropriately which may include police, fire and medical dispatch as required, viewing live and recorded video to verify causes of alarm activation, initiating direct communication through remote audio engagement during high stress and crisis situations, and completing incident reporting and documentation as needed.ย 

This position operates in a 24/7, 365 days a year, shift work environment so candidateโ€™s must be open to working the 10pm-6am shift and weekends as necessary.

ย Preferred Experience, Skills & Abilities of the Video Monitoring Agent โ€“ Level 1:

  • Associateโ€™s degree or 2 years of college equivalent coursework in Loss Prevention/Law Enforcement preferred
  • Experience in loss prevention, law enforcement, security, alarm/video monitoring, or police dispatch preferred
  • Ability to operate in high-stress or conflict situations
  • Sense of urgency and ability to think proactively
  • Strong computer skills and ability to type a minimum of 30 WPM
  • Must be able to work a flexible shift, which may include nights and weekends

Compensation, Benefits, and Structure of the Video Monitoring Agent โ€“ Level 1:

The position is permanent, and either full-time or part-time depending on the candidateโ€™s preference, with a competitive hourly wage structure based on skills and experience. If hired in a full-time capacity, the Company also provides a generous benefits package including health insurance, paid time off, and 401k.
