Monitoring Station Manager Jobs (NOW HIRING)

The Station Manager is responsible for the station's day-to-day operations and ensuring compliance with all company and federal policies. This role requires clear communication with internal and external stakeholders, strong planning and organizational skills, and the ability to set goals, measure performance, and drive continuous improvement. The Station Manager evaluates, coaches, and develops station employees, leading by example with integrity, professionalism, and a strong customer service focus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety, Security, and Regulatory Compliance

• Prioritize the health and safety of the workforce; ensure all employees understand the company's just safety culture and are aware of airline and airport environmental hazards.

• Maintain safe working conditions and demonstrate personal responsibility and accountability for safe operations.

• Ensure compliance with all federal directives and security requirements, and audit station operations for quality assurance.

• Ensure compliance with company and airline policies and procedures across all areas of operation, safety, and process.

• Monitor and verify quality control of customer service, baggage handling, and departure dependability against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Financial and Operational Performance

• Control station expenses and maintain an effective cost-control program to monitor financial and operational performance.

• Develop and implement strategies, processes, and procedures that improve station profitability.

• Work to grow contract revenue and actively pursue opportunities that support station profitability.

• Evaluate service delivery to airline partners and implement measures to improve performance.

• Maintain airline partner relationships with a focus on contract retention, monthly performance metrics, and Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance.

Stakeholder and Vendor Relations

• Serve as the TDA representative to airport officials, the FAA, and the TSA, including attending relevant meetings and events.

• Coordinate airline vendor functions and act as liaison for local contracts supporting airline business partners, including fueling, skycap, security, catering, cleaning, and ground handling services.

• Provide feedback and timely responses to customer complaints and compliments in coordination with airline requirements.

Workforce Planning and Development

• Build effective, cost-efficient work schedules for large workgroups, determining manpower requirements for group movements, peak travel periods, out-of-scope needs, and flight schedule changes.

• Coordinate training to ensure requirements are met for all employees, including new-hire, recurrent, supplemental, and local training compliance.

• Lead employees through a performance management and development process that includes goal setting, feedback, and development planning.

• Establish employee recognition programs for station achievements in safety, performance, and revenue.

• Lead regular communication, including staff and leadership meetings, daily reporting, employee briefings, and town halls as required.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Managing Director of Operations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to lift a 70-pound suitcase from the floor to a height of 18 inches, and carry a 70-pound suitcase with both hands for a distance of up to 25 feet. Must have the physical dexterity to perform repetitive tasks and motions, including bending at the waist and knees, squatting, kneeling, crawling, and twisting, and to sustain these positions for extended periods. Must have sufficient vision and physical ability to perform the essential functions of the position safely.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position operates in an airport environment, both indoors and outdoors, and may involve exposure to extreme temperature ranges. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING

• Education: Associate degree or higher required. A high school diploma or equivalent may be substituted with four years of relevant experience.

• Experience: Ten years of progressive management experience in the airline industry, including at least three years managing multiple airline contracts with over 75 flights per week. In-depth knowledge of airline operations in an airport environment is required.

• Language: Ability to read and interpret contracts, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English, and to communicate effectively in English.

• Math: Ability to understand and analyze financial operations, profit-and-loss statements, customer invoices, and other calculations necessary for managing airline operations.
