R-00190691 Description Tier 2 Network Technician The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos has an opening for a Tier II Network Technician to support the customer’s computer data communications systems, in providing design specifications, testing and inspections for computer networks; plan and implementing upgrades; as well as, analyzing and organizing corresponding hardware and software combined solutions through network modeling. The job duties of the Tier II Network Technician are as follows: * The Tier II network field technician will support the installation and maintenance of the client LAN/WAN devices. * Respond to and resolve incidents, demonstrate troubleshooting skills and communicate with the team. * Complete assigned tasks within Service Level Objectives/Agreements (SLOs/SLAs). * Draft and implement standard network change requests. * Provide support to Tier III network engineers for incident management and projects (site surveys, TEMS, coordinate and install new equipment). * Perform configuration management functions such as update topology drawings, ensure asset management records are accurate, and conduct inventory. * Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades. (Knowledge of CISCO/Juniper RMA process). * Layer 1 network experience (CAT5/6, SM/MM Fiber, Serial cables, SFP). * Layer 2 network experience (ability to configure/troubleshoot switches/routers, MAC addresses, VLANs, port security, applying thin and thick configs. * Layer 3 network experience (subnetting, familiar with protocols such as OSPF, BGP, HSRP, MPLS, LSP, GRE) * Configure and troubleshoot layer 2 switching (VLAN’s, Port Security, Thin Configs). * Perform IOS upgrades for Cisco, Juniper, Brocade and Foundry OS. * Experience with Visio. * Familiar with ServiceNow and Confluence. * May have up to 10% COMSEC responsibilities based on site and team needs. Basic Qualifications * Required Clearance: TS/SCI CI Poly * Candidate must have 12 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a Doctorate and 4 years, master’s and 6 years, bachelor’s and 8 years, associates and 10 years or HS diploma and 12 years. * Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2. * Available to travel up to 20% of the time. * Available to work flexible hours, to include weekend support. * Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
