Location: Vancouver, WA & surrounding areas (Camas, Hockinson, Mt. Vista, Orchards, Cascade Park, Battleground, Ridgefield)
Job Type: Full-Time, Must be available 8-5 Monday through Friday or equivalent (7a-7p)

Job Summary

Home Helpers Home Care of Central Clark County, WA is hiring a compassionate and experienced Lead Caregiver to join our growing care team. This key position supports both client care and caregiver team success by stepping in to fill shifts, start care for new clients, and introduce caregivers to clients during transitions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care and companionship to seniors and adults with disabilities

  • Start care with new clients and assist with the onboarding process to ensure a smooth first visit

  • Introduce new caregivers to clients and guide them during initial shifts

  • Fill in for last-minute call-offs and emergencies as needed

  • Observe and report changes in client condition to the office

  • Serve as a mentor and support resource for other caregivers

  • Document care tasks and maintain accurate visit notes

  • Uphold Home Helpers’ standards of professionalism, compassion, and trust

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of caregiving experience (home care, assisted living, skilled nursing, or similar)

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

  • Comfortable working independently and adapting to client needs

  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance, non-negotiable

  • Able to pass a Washington State background check and meet all DSHS caregiver requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • CNA certification

  • Dementia care experience

  • Prior leadership or trainer experience in a care setting

  • Experience using home care software or electronic visit verification (EVV) tools
