Job description

CPP Industries is looking to bring on an experienced Zeiss CMM Programmer to join our precision manufacturing team in Sacramento, CA. We are a fast-growing aerospace and defense machine shop that takes pride in quality, precision, and a clean organized work environment. We need a skilled CMM professional who knows Zeiss Calypso inside and out and can hit the ground running from day one.

This is a full-time direct hire position with overtime available. You will work Monday through Friday on a consistent day shift schedule.

Job Duties:

  • Develop and execute CMM measurement programs for new part orders daily using Zeiss Calypso software
  • Set up and operate Zeiss Contura CMM equipment
  • Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on precision machined components
  • Review customer prints and CAD files to determine measurement approach
  • Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T callouts independently
  • Generate and maintain accurate inspection reports and documentation
  • Work directly with machinists and shop leadership to resolve quality findings
  • Identify and implement improvements to existing inspection processes

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years of CMM programming and inspection experience in a precision CNC job shop
  • Expert level proficiency in Zeiss Calypso software - must be able to build programs from scratch independently
  • Hands-on experience with Zeiss Contura machines strongly preferred
  • Strong GD&T knowledge working from both 2D prints and 3D CAD models
  • Aerospace or defense manufacturing background highly valued
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $45.00 to $55.00 per hour based on experience
